I've hit a brick wall on Mahalo - any suggestions?
However, through all this I've never found myself short of things to do.
Tonight, though, it's finally happened :s
I'm still waiting (as I'm sure most of us are) for the staff to provide us with a way of filtering out the ConundrumLand questions if we want to ignore them or look at them separately. This is a big part of my problem as, when they're overpowering the list, I tend to get annoyed and just bugger off for a bit because Mahalo becomes - hate to say it - BORING.
Also, a month or so ago a few of us answered LOADS of old Twitter questions and got rid of them as they were sort of clogging up the list. This was great at the time - I got loads of best answers and a lot of money and points.
Now that they're not there, though, it seems to take hardly any time at all to get through every single question we have to offer here and then there's nothing left to do :(
I'd just like to make it clear that I have no interest whatsoever in building pages or doing How Tos or anything like that - it's just not my kind of thing so suggestions regarding these sort of activities will be irrelevant ;)
So - to get back to the point - what do you do when you feel there's a bit of a slump and there's nothing left to do on Mahalo?
Do you go to another site for a bit?
Any suggestions are welcome, but best answer will go to the most innovative and the one that truly does help me to shake off this unlovin' feelin' ;p
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

You might enjoy picking the Twitter questions that interest you and importing them yourself
If you have not tried out the Mahalo Twitter feature yet I would recommend to you to give it a try and see how much fun you can have. Any Mahalo member at the green belt level or over can use this feature.
When I get bored with the questions I see and have none to ask of my own I go looking for other peoples..on Twitter. This is fascinating to me as the folks asking these questions on Twitter have no idea for the most part that they are about to become members of Mahalo.
It is kind of like I am offering them an invitation to join so I answer the question with my best ability.
Below is an example or a question I might import from Twitter as it relates to my New Hampshire page and I will answer the question nicely right after I see it come over the spy view.
You don't have to import questions related to any of your pages, you can just import any interesting question(s) you like, you should just intend to answer all of the questions you do import.
So literally you can shape your own Mahalo Answers experience and it is easy to do. So if you have not tried it already go ahead and give it a go I'll bet you will enjoy it~~> Mahalo Twitter

M$Or, honestly if you like to answer questions, you might check into some survey sites or mystery shopping sites. Here are some you might consider looking into.

www.bareinternational.com
www.epmsonline.com
I have used all of these with great results.

Fact is I do write, I'm a writer - I write for a local magazine but the Editor is effectively an IDIOT so we haven't been doing a lot recently...
I do have a blog and should stop procrastinating and get over there and do some writing! :s
Brilliant ideas - thankyou! ;) x
If you're interested in mystery shopping, check out Mahalo's page on How to Become a Mystery Shopper for lots of good tips.
Ah so this is mostly entertainment/part time cash? Then I would definately check out mypoints and doing mystery shopping. It's really fun. I actually supported my son and myself on that for a while.

Apart from importing questions, you can always ask your own!
That's a pretty good way of generating some interesting conversations about things you care about.
Cheers @budd! Nobody's explained that to me before - probably because I haven't bothered asking :s but it has been something I've been meaning to find out about.
Thanks for giving me a push in the right direction ;)
I just checked around a bit and found out there is a Hull City vs Portsmouth football (soccer) match going on around right now. Well I don't know if you are interested in sports but I knew you lived in the UK so I took a look on Twitter using the search term "Hull" This is a possibly interesting question I saw that would be available to import and answer if you like.
So when you try it out be sure to get creative with the search terms and I'm sure you will find something you like. Cheers :)
