It's Children's Book Week! What is your favorite children's book?

Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Oh, I have so many! One of my most favorite children's books is Harold and the Purple Crayon by Crockett Johnson. It's such a great story about imagination. Another favorite is Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day by Judith Viorst. I also really like all of Pigeon books like Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus.

"Just So Stories" by Rudyard Kipling has to be it for me. I have it on audio tape and I cannot get enough. I home school so I use it as an excuse for multiple literature lessons just so I can hear the stories again. How the whale got his throat, the man with infinite resources. Unforgettable
