It seems to me that Mahalo needs disambiguation pages like wikipedia. Anybody care to comment?
For example, I have created a page 'Ipswich, Queensland' to differentiate it from other places called Ipswich. On the other hand, I created 'Katoomba' rather than 'Katoomba, New South Wales' because in that case the state it redundant. I don't like the inconsistency though.

For example, I claimed Star Trek, and it's not clear whether the page is or should be about only the original series ("TOS"), the whole Star Trek franchise, or cover the new movie or the older Star Trek: The Motion Picture as well.
Especially ambiguous as naturally all the automated stuff that is grabbed like Flickr pictures and YouTube videos doesn't make these distinctions at all!
Also it turns out there are pages for iPhone, iPhone 3G, iPod, Apple iPod etc.
And people can come along anytime and make their own page with a slightly different name than one that already exists.
So some way of resolving these issues does seem to be needed.

M$I'm guessing, then, that not many of you have run into the problem. I have run into the problem with at least half my pages. I have 3 place names that are ambiguous, and 2 titles which are also a generic terms (one of which is both a movie and a computer game, unrelated).
I could go ahead and create a disambiguation page.
Mobile AL should also be Mobile Ala and Mobile Alabama...
I know the pages are by name, but maybe some titles should be merged due to variations in search terms....
OR maybe there should be a way to claim those terms and just redirect them to your page -that way I don't have to build 3 pages for Mobile AL (a town that deserves only one page..)

M$I also think that the best way to go about it is to let it grow organically, monitor the process, stir it, and guide it gently, as it expands and gets evermore complex. Trying to plan such a potentially huge information database all in advance, would be quite impossible and counterproductive.
