Is your area famous for anything?

Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Traffic jam! Seriously. My city is the capital city of Indonesia, so it's the center for government, trade, business, and all kinds of entertainment in Indonesia. The city is packed with people and of course, cars. Public transportation is very bad, and therefor everyone who can afford to own a car, does. The public buses are also very delinquent. They literally drop, stop, and pick people up anywhere they want, even in the middle of the road.

Well, you can imagine the mess.

Coffee, rain, and grunge music.

The coffee thing is fair I guess, since Starbucks started here, but it's not like we grow coffee beans or anything. It actually rains less in Seattle than it does in Portland, but we native Seattleites are usually content to propagate the rain myth to keep more people from moving here. We're all pretty much ready for people to shut up about the grunge music thing. Kurt Cobain died well over a decade ago, and very few people are into that genre anymore.

Roy Rogers and Dale Evans used to be in rodeos in my town. The streets are named after them: Dale Evans Parkway, Roy Rogers, and Happy Trails Highway.
