Is Windows 7 compatible with anything? Program wise? CS3, WoW... Does anyone recommend downloading it?

It should work with most software. However, if the software doesn't work, you can install Windows XP Mode.

First, determine if your CPU has either Intel Virtualization Technology and AMD-V enabled.

Then, download and install (in this order):
1. Windows Virtual PC Beta
2. Windows XP Mode Beta.
Then, start the Virtual PC and install the software that is incompatible with Windows 7. Once the installation has finished, the program shortcut should be available from Windows 7 Start menu.
