Is William Corr a good choice for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services's Deputy secretary?
He has previously worked for Tom Daschle, Obama's choice for secretary, and has been a lobbyist in Washington. Do these facts make him more or less qualified?

It looks to me like "lobbyist" is just a small part of what he has done - it looks like he's been a normal part of the political machine for the last 20 years or so.
I can't make any judgments based off of what he has done, as I'm not really familiar with him, but it appears to me that he's got plenty of experience to make the next jump in his political career. Some people might not like the choice for ideological reasons but I see no reason that he won't be confirmed.
Given that Obama's choices so far have been very reasonable, I'd be willing to bet that Corr is a solid pick - given his past relationship with Daschle, I bet that he had a significant say in the choice, too. If you like Daschle, you'll probably like Corr. If you don't, you probably won't.
