Do you bank online? Do you consider that safe? Min.com uses the same encrytption strength and security level that online banking systems do, the one extra "risk" is that you are providing ALL of your financial information to them, so if someone compromised your Mint.com account, they could potentially compromise all the others, HOWEVER, you can not change or do anything from inside of Mint. It's simply a tool for analyzing, you can't make a payment, withdrawal, or anything else from Mint.
