Just trying to research this question has turned up so much conflicting information that separating fact from Fiction is damned hard to do.
Still, I've learned that he is in fact moving to Sweden (presumably to keep him out of trouble). I've also heard that he's retiring from playing the game although that's not yet confirmed.

M$A Google News search of "Tiger Woods Dead" turned up One Result. A posting by Melissa Finlay of Prime Writer News Network, a news outlet I have never heard of so I personally give it zero credit. Seems to me like a blogger/reporter trying to get a lucky guess by speculating first so if it does turn out to be true she will be able to say "I said it first" and the article is not sourced except the title "Tiger Woods disappearance has people wondering if he’s dead" she never goes on to even say who these people are and if they are credible at all. It is complete speculation. The writer even finishes the article with a give away qualifier that clears her if she is wrong.

We’re pretty confident that he’s in seclusion and will one day, resurface again.

This open ended method of speculative reporting is bordering on irresponsible and certainly in my eyes and no credibility whatsoever. I could just post a well written article saying Tiger Woods is staying at my house with 50 strippers in my personal blog and have the same credibility and the same likelihood of being true.
If there were a shred of evidence that this was true it would certainly be all over every major news and media outlet for days and days and I am sure the now reasonable news outlet TMZ would be the first to break it.
It is quite safe to assume Tiger Woods is alive.
