Here's why it is not funny: When I was in 6th grade, my teacher used to tell a "joke of the day." Well, one day he told the joke and everyone but me laughed. He asked me why I wasn't laughing. I told him I didn't get the joke. So he told it again and again. I still didn't understand it was funny. So, he suggested I tell other teachers and perhaps by telling them, I might get the joke. At the urging of the other students, I did. It was embarrassing. At the end of the day, one of my friends told me that the reason everyone was laughing at the joke was because my teacher had told them to. It turns out, the joke (which did not have a punchline) was on me. I was humiliated and went home in tears. So, I don't think humiliating someone in this manner is ever funny.
However, I might change my mind if I the girls agreed AFTER learning about the joke to allow the film to air. If they signed the release BEFORE, then my heart goes out to them because you KNOW someone is ribbing them about it. And that's just not funny.
