The is something about natural disasters that bring about the festivity in some folks. I imagine there are some children and young adults that are having the time of their lives within this recent disaster, similar to the yahoos that I have witnessed (and might have participated with) playing around during and in the aftermath of a hurricane here in the United States. Hurricane Andrew was a blast we went street sailing with roller-blades and bedsheets.

However these folks for the most part are not having any kind of fun, extraordinary or otherwise. When we lose everything including the lives of loved ones there is little to be happy about or have fun with.

When I was about 11 years old, there was a big hurricane in New York, and the creek in the back yard overflowed its banks and widened from a few feet to a lake encompassing the entire back yard, almost reaching the house, more than 100 feet wide. I'm not sure how I found this blue plastic boat, but there it was floating in the backyard, and so I waded out across the submerged lawn, clambered in, went sailing and had the time of my life. Unfortunately, further down stream, the boat capsized and got stuck under a fallen tree, catching the water and making a big dam. I could not get it unstuck, try as I might. I was a small boy, at the time, weighing only 60 pounds. Afterward, I always wished for another hurricane, but I was disappointed because it never did happen again. I suppose my parents were relieved that the house did not get flooded.

It is not funny to me. it make me think of the people facing the curse of the nature. The videos are showing the faces of disasters and sufferings. What is the fun in it?????

No, its probably the opposite of fun but I always thought that it might be fun to drive a boat through a city.
