Actually that Thanksgiving is a religious holiday is a MYTH.
Thanksgiving's real origins began with the Harvest Celebration, it was celebrated by many faiths simply to celebrate the life allowing success of the harvest. Though many of those faiths put their own religions into the harvest celebrations, it is not actually a religious practice just a celebration.
