Is there template in Word to trifold letters and have the recipients address show thru #10 window envelope?

I am trying to print a bunch of surveys and only have the address show through a #10 window envelope but can't figure out how to do it.
Tip for best answer: M$0.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Top Margin: 2"
Left Margin: 1"
Format paragraph: Line Spacing: exactly 12pt

The text should be typed in this order:

1 [date]
2 [blank]
3 [name]
4 [company]
5 [address]
6 [city, state, ZIP]
7 [blank]
8 [Dear XXXX,]

This will place the address in the window.

If your address is only three lines, you may see the greeting in the window. Also, the first line of the body will be above the fold.

Generally that's bad form. Only the greeting should be above the fold. That way the mail can be properly routed without the opener reading personal or private information. Adjust with a blank line after the address if necessary.

The folding should be in a Z, not like a inward folding brochure. The top panel should stick 1/4" above, the bottom panel 1/4 below the middle panel. This makes it easy to flip open the letter with one hand. When the panels are overlapped exactly, it requires two hands.

Properly preparing letters is a lost art. I wish more job applicants (and businesses!) would go back to typing classes with manual typewriters.

Best of luck.

I had the same problem and made the template. You can get it here: http://ericmason.net/2010/12/microsoft-word-template-for-window-envelopes/
