Is there something special I need to do to add people as friends? Most of the time when I click the button, it redirects to log in. Help!
This isn't consistent, though. Sometimes clicking on the "add as friend" X works properly. What am I doing wrong?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I can suggest that you contact Mahalo Technical Team if the problem persists.

M$I just added you as a friend to test it and it is odd. Now I'm supossed to be a fan of yours and I can't have the remove friend button.

M$@interzone Oh! I get it now. I was all confused why someone was my fan, then when I friended him, he was no longer a fan. I figured he removed being my fan because he clicked it by accident or something, haha. Duhh. Thanks!
@nushka, It must be bugged... I hope it's only temporary...
I can explain the "being a fan of" aspect - that's the Mahalo default: you're a fan of someone until that person befriends you. Then she or he gets automatically converted into your friend.
As for the "remove friend" button, you have to go to that person's profile page and click the "remove this friend" (or something to that effect) button underneath their pic.
The remove friend button doesn't work.

Yes, I have experienced intermittent glitches with that too. Though it's not happening at the moment.
If it's taking you the login page, you may want to try logging out, and logging in again. Sometimes the system gets confused about whether you're logged in or not, and it varies from page to page.
Okay, that's it. Now the person I'm trying to add doesn't have the option to add under her picture. On to the tech team!
