Is there more earning potential with Wordpress than Blogger?
I've had a blog with google blogger for sometime now, but I am not getting much internet traffic and revenue. My friend uses Wordpress and she makes a lot more money than I do. Is there more earning potential with Wordpress? It seems to have a more professional web design than the blogger. Does this increase the revenue potential or traffic? I also see that my friend is able to use her own domain instead of the blogspot address. If I used Wordpress, do I need my own host? What have your own personal experiences been like with the two blogging sites? I know that blogger is very simple to use. Is Wordpress difficult to use and learn?

Lets start from the beginning. Your friend is not using a Wordpress hosted account and you are using a Blogger hosted account - so there is a big difference to begin with.
Your earning potential with any site boils down to a few factors: target audience, related keywords, volume of traffic and the amount of ads clicked, the percentage of revenue that your advertisers pay.
Having a top-level domain will help with your search traffic. Free hosted accounts don't get a lot of love from the search engines; so finding a good host and getting your blog on its own domain is the best way to start earning from it. If you are going to do that, Wordpress would be the script to use.
So to cut a long story short - the Wordpress script won't earn you money on its own, but getting your site on its own domain will get you moving in the right direction.
