Is there Data Recovery Software for the Mac that will find FLAC and VOB files?

Hi everyone,

Recently I managed to erase an external drive accidentally. I've gone ahead and tried two apps for disc recovery and they generally speaking did a pretty good job. The only two formats that I was hoping to recover that neither of them found was FLAC and VOB.

The flacs were SOMETIMES found and show up in the "WAV" folders, but I was hoping that there was an app that would classify them AS FLAC and sort accordingly (or at least save with the .flac extension). As for VOBs I'm not sure any of them found those.

Anyone know of any apps that WILL find these two? I'd be really grateful if you did!

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Try FileSalvage 6.1.5

It is the best Mac file recovery software I have ever dealt with. It recovers just about everything. Just remember to recover to an separate drive.

Thanks. Did try that one. I think it found the FLACs as WAVs which wasn't as helpful, but sadly DIDN'T find any VOBs.
