Is there anything to be done about what kind of ads are on Serps? Very few of my pages have ads that are connected with the actual content.
Ok I may be b#@# & whining or having a pity party. I just want to know If there was anything that I can do to tweek what adsense sends to my pages?

The more text you have, the more choices ad words has to pick from, as well.

M$Your most popular page so far, on Electric Cars, has 37 views so far. It can take hundreds or more views to get one person who clicks an ad. People just don't click on ads all that often. If you had an ad click after only 37 views it would be sheer luck!
For comparison, my page on Kate Winslet has 228 views, and no ad revenue either. I lucked out on my page about The Wire and got a click after just 33 views, but that is not typical of page with so few views.
If you want to get some ad revenue, here are some other things to think aboout:
1) Topic selection is probably the single most important factor for views and revenue
If you want to write about electric cars, you might consider exploring if a page about a particular brand or model would do better.
2) Think about how many ads to put on the page and where to put them
On your Electric Cars page you only seem to have one ad block, and it quite low down on the page. A lot of people that visit your page may not even see the ad. Too many ads may turn people off though, so strike a balance.
You can't move ads themselves, but you can move your content around them, so they end up where you want.
3) Bear in mind that the view and revenue stats are imperfect. The view number updated yesterday, but the revenue numbers have not updated for quite a few days. So you might actually have had clicks and not know about it yet!
So far I haven't answered your question about being able to control the ad content. I think that would be a great feature for advanced users that know what they're doing. (Step forward @robbrown!)
However the kind of ads being shown on your pages are probably not the main factor in why you're not seeing any revenue.
Hope this helps you and others to make some money here! :)

M$"Let me control it and I will do a better job of selecting ads than a bot any day. :) "
I agree.. Bumped and quoted for emphasis..
@dannyjohnson.... the same ads aren't served every time you look at the page. But yes, you can get the same crappy ad three or four times on your page!

Philipy is a great example of this very problem. He has the IPhone page here on Mahalo. (we were joking in a previous thread about the revenue) Great product, but the ads are all Google Image based, and the last time I looked, they were all for the same thing-some junky cover. He's got four ads on the page.. Now with ALL the cool Iphone stuff out there, vistors to his page are only being served the SAME ad FOUR times...
I understand enough about Google Adsense to know this happens, but with all the great content, its shouldn't happen that often and can be fixed easily..
Thanks for the heads up about moving content around the page thereby 'floating' the ads upwards. I had no idea that was in my control. I guess I didn't connect the dots. I guess with the hit and miss of those tool buttons working I was just happy to get a smooth movement of the content and hadn't realized the effect on the ad placement.

There appears the settings of the advert that can be toggled.

M$Nope. No such magic button on my view.
Under the page builder you can add a "sponsored links" section to the guide note, which it does. However, it only adds another ads section and no 'editing' capabilities that I can see. It seems to just add the same type of adds and some are repeats.
thanks
I was also wondering about the ability to change the ads. I checked one of my pages, and I definitely don't have the option to edit. There is nothing above "Ads by Google" (even in edit mode.) It must be your super-special privileges.
Do we benefit if someone clicks on the Amazon links too?
Wish we all had that button-- see the comment I posted for @Philipy.. four ad spots, all image and all are the same ad.
Yeah... we don't have these options. Wish we did though.
Nope, can't find that button anywhere.
Maybe you just revealed some new feature you were not supposed to reveal ;-)
Really cool screenshot. Can't wait to get my hands on that.
The words in the page title and the words just below the adsense code have some importance

Thanks, I give it a try to see if something better pops up.
