Is there anything like CHDK for Nikon cameras? I just got a Nikon D70 and want to know if there are any fun hacks or firmware replacements.

As far as i know there isn't any firmware like CHDK for Nikon cameras. however i'm sure it would be possible if you worked at it to mod the firmware of a d70, it would be a lot of work though. CHDK is more for point and shoot cameras anyway, any slr is going to have a lot of features CHDK provides, and be a lot harder to unlock becuase of the additional complexity.

I don't think there is a Nikon SLR firmware mod, but there's not as big a need because your slr can already do the things the chdk firmware allows point and shoots to do. If you're looking to expand your camera's capabilities check out gphoto. It gives you complete control of your camera via a linux box.
