Are there any tips that you can use to save money when shopping online?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

According to Smartmoney.com, the best two currently are:
Pricegrabber.com http://www.pricegrabber.com/
Yahoo Shopping http://shopping.yahoo.com/
However, more are listed on the smart money.com website: http://www.smartmoney.com/spending/deals/which-comparison-shopping-site-is-best/
The next tip to use to save money while shopping online is to shop through a cashback site. Although this doesn't technically save you money, as you still spend the full amount, it does give you a small percentage back. This usually varies between 5-10%.
By shopping on certain websites, you can gain loyalty points or use a loyalty card. On some websites you can gain free delivery, even though sometimes they take a few extra days to arrive, if you shop online a lot, they can save you a lot of money in the long run.

M$I've been using eBates and have gotten money back as well as discounts on those same items. The money back was paid to me through PayPal.
See: http://www.ebates.com/index.do (That's not a referral code, but you can earn cash back by making referrals.)

M$The first thing I do is look for an item I want or need. Then if I find a store that has that item I go to CouponCabin to see if they have any codes for shipping or for some sort of sale. I then shop around Amazon to see if they have that item.
Ebay might but they don't always have a "true" sale on items and charge the regular store prices. There is also an online place called "Ebates" that will give you cash back on your purchases, so that's worth looking into.
Unless you are in a rush to purchase items, remember upcoming holiday sales: Valentine's, Mother'sDay and Father'sDay should all have good prices going for you online. Also the month of February is known to hold good department sales on linens and such.
So codes is key as is looking for multiple stores.
