Is there any study showing what trains are correlated with people remember / not remembering their dreams?1

For example, young vs old, race, profession, family history, etc

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Traits?

I don't know of any studies about traits correlated with remembering your dreams.

I can't think of any demographic that couldn't remember their dreams. If you can imagine, you can remember your dreams.

And, by the way, you always dream

I think remembering dreams has to be a conscious effort. When I was 10 years old, I became fascinated with dreams -- lucid dreams, the meaning of dreams, etc. So I actually bought a book that talks about how to remember them. One method is to try to write down as much detail about your dreams every morning when you wake up. In the beginning, you'll realize you have very little to write. If you do this as a frequent exercise, you'll start being able to remember more and more of your dreams.

Personally, this isn't always a good thing - nowadays, I remember quite a bit, sort of like memories. There are some dreams I definitely wish I never had.
