Are there any studies showing that car rides mellow dogs out?

I know it works on children, and I'm not trying to compare the two....
But last night my dog would not move from my car door so we took him on a 30 minute car ride (lucky punk) and he passed out right away...I thought it strange....he's not a puppy or anything but I wonder if there is any research or proof of car rides mellowing dogs.

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I do not know of any. My dog is calmer being close to me -even if it is in a vehicle. I did read about a dog that freaked out in a car ride. See the link.
