Is there any small program for the PC that will mute/unmute the microphone instead of having to go through the control panel?
Want to be able to mute the microphone before it gets to any other program. The mic is connected to other programs at once and want to mute them all at the same time.
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

This might be simple it varies from XP to Vista.
But if you just right click on the speaker in the system train by your clock you can open the sound mixer. In XP I believer they're all on the same control page and you can just click mute "mic". In Vista you right-click and got to something like recodring devices and disable your mic.
Never played much with the one in Vista.
