Is there any OS that allows you to organize your files using a tag based system.

I am not referring to applications which run on an operating system, Is there any way to enable native support in windows, mac or GUI Linux variant.

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Yes you can. I knew there must be a way because if you press WIN+F the search or find window opens and under advanced search there's an option to search tags (Vista). Below is a article that talks about implementing tags and it mentions a method or link to how to do it on a Mac as well. Have fun.

Is tagging the way of the future? The optimal way to organize information to make it more easily found? Or are there other techniques too? I better ask this question in a new window. OK. I asked here:

Neither of these solutions are comprehensive. As such I appreciate your answer but I am not giving it the best answer nomination as that would lead future readers to think that they are solutions when the real answer is "no, there is no comprehensive tag file management system."
A personal thx though.
