Is there any fun way of learning social studies?
I'm looking for games or fun books for kids to learn social studies. Where can I buy games or books on the subject?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

The best fun way I learned about social studies as a kid was through a board game put out by National Geographic in the early 1990’s. It was used by scores of kids (myself included) to study for the National Geography Bee (think spelling bee but with geography facts) as the Bee was held by the same company that manufactured the board game.
This game is called "National Geographic Global Pursuit" and can be bought on Amazon.com. As the name suggests, it is played like "Trivial Pursuit", with players answering questions to earn game pieces, eventually collecting enough to make a model of the globe.

As "Global Pursuit" was popular when it first came out, you may also be able to find complete sets of it on Ebay.
