Is there any dog better than a Weimaraner, and why? You'll have to try very hard to convince me.

Be specific. Show examples of why any dog in the world could possibly be better than a weimaraner, perhaps using Youtube videos of other dogs doing impressive things.

I had a Weimaraner when I was younger and I loved the big guy (well, he was huge when I was 8). So this is more of a props to you for picking an awesome breed, rather than trying to dissuade you from your choice :).

Humane Society Mutts:
These are mine. The kitten (now cat) was only about 4 weeks old at the time (he'd been abandoned). Don't all go "Aww" at once now:

aww, we've got a couple of weims and a couple of mutts and my dad has a bunch of adopted dogs too. Don't know if they are better than weimaraners overall, but I'm particularly biased on that. However, they usually have less health problems and make you feel really really good about yourself. So there's one point for adopted mutts.

Well, there are different breeds for different needs.

If you're an agility dog trainer, I'd stick with something like a Jack Russell.
If you're a farmer/rancher, I'd stick with something like a Australian Cattle Dog.

If you just like dogs, there's no way someone is going to convince you to like something better than the dog you love.

Springer Spaniels- not only are they awesome hunting dogs, but they are one of the best-looking and kindest breeds out there. They're great to run with in the park!

I am partial to Labs. I've only recently become a dog owner and have a black lab. They are great, friendly, and absolutely love people, kids, another dogs. My lab (Angus) is a huge fan of Snow and Water. Here are a few links for you.

We have had our Jack Russel Terrier for 7 years now, and I can't imagine a better breed of dog. She is playful, pretective, nurturing, sympathetic and incredibly loving. She knows when she has done something wrong, and in her own way always apologizes for it. She was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer last week, so we don't know how long she has left with us, but we DO know that she is irreplaceable.
