Is there a zoo in Dallas?
We're taking a trip to Dallas in December for vacation and want to know if there's a zoo there. If so, is it open in the winter? Is there anything similar if not, something with wild animals?

Yes, there is a Zoo in the Dallas area, the name of it, is quite fittingly the Dallas Zoo. The Dallas Zoo is located a few miles away from the Downtown Dallas area.
The Dallas Zoo has over a 100 acres of land to explore and has over a thousand different types of animals in which to view. The Dallas Zoo is one of the largest Zoos in the state of Texas.
Some of the exhibits that the Dallas Zoo has are:
Zoo North: Which is the traditional zoo setting where visitors can see the animals they would expect to find in a zoo such as Tigers, and various species of birds.
Wilds of Africa: Gives zoo visitors an African experience, by letting them explore the Rain Forrest, Mountain and Woodlands that can be found in Africa as well as the animal species that will be found on an African Safari.
Giants of the Savanna: Another exhibit that makes visitors feels as if they are on a jungle type safari.
From what I have been able to determine the Zoo is open all year round.
