Is there a way to transfer one lone message from Gmail into another thread in the same inbox?
For some reason, one message that I composed and sent in Apple Mail, linked to the account by IMAP was not included in the appropriate thread when I access my GMail inbox in my browser.

You can't. But if you reply to the original thread and paste the new reply within, it will thread the whole thing properly.
