Is there a way to scan business card on a flat-bed scanner rather than one of those expensive little card scanners?

I believe you could also scan it as normal, and use windows preview or an image editing program like GIMP Or PhotoShop to crop it, then save it as a file type that you wish (id reccomend .Png, .Jpg, or .Tga)

I have two ways of dealing with business cards. 1) on my Mac with Snow Leapord, I use Preview to scan the business card. In preview, you can resize the scan area to match the card and save it as a jpeg file. The second way is to use Evernote. Evernote will let you use the camera on your iPhone to take a picture of the card. Evernote will index the text on the card so you can search your cards.
