Is there a way to make food cooked on a propane grill not taste like propane?

I have noticed any time I eat food cooked on a propane grill you get that weird propane-ish after taste the same way a charcoal grill will instill a certain flavor. While I do not have a propane grill because I dislike the taste many of my frequent bbq buddies do. What tips and tricks can I offer to them to lose that nasty chemical taste?

I have a propane grill and have no issues like that.

We have lava bricks that have a smoke flavor in the brick.. Also You can purchase the wood chips for a smoker. You soak the chips for about 15 min.wrap them in foil but leave the top open to allow the smoke to escape.Put it in a corner of the grill right by the flame. As you grill the smokey flavor will add nice flavor to your meats or veggies.YUMMMMYYYY!!
