is there a way to get backtrack running on a wii console? i know it really serves no purpose, but i was just wondering if it's possible ;)
i am looking more towards backtrack 4 ... i got 3 to run, but 4 is not even close.... it's just the geek in me wondering if it's possible.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

While technically possible, the amount of porting necessary to accomplish it would be astounding. BT4 is so highly regarded because of the amount of integration among its components (a good example is the collection of fairly stable yet patched/hacked wireless drivers that somehow still play nice in the kernel)
In addition to the generic Linux port, the relevant drivers would have to be modified to provide security-type functionality as well as all of the pen/audit software that is arguably spotty at best sometimes.
I can certainly dig the geekiness of it... I once had a WRT54G running aircrack powered by two 6V lantern batteries! I'd give you props for getting bt4 on your wii, I'll buy you a beer if you get it running on the cash register at your local deli! ;)
