Is there a way to delete a virtual CD from a generic USB drive?
I have a usb stick that my brother gave me but it has a virtual CD drive on it. The stick is from a university and not branded and I would like to get rid of the CD portion.
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

If you're referring to a virtual CD image (.iso, .cue, etc), you should be able to just delete those like you would any regular file. Just be sure to unmount it first using the virtual CD software (i.e. DaemonTools) before deleting, otherwise your PC will tell you that the file's in use.
On the other hand, if your USB drive has a virtual partition, you can just format your drive on any computer. That will wipe all the data (including the partitions) on the drive and give you just one big chunk of free space.
