Is there a way for 2 user accounts to merge their separate (but largely duplicate) iTunes libraries into 1 shared library on a mac?

We use separate user accounts and have separate iTunes libraries. The two libraries are virtually identical but there are some items that were purchased via iTunes or Amazon that only appear in one or the other. I am looking for a way to merge these two libraries into one shared library but I want to make sure that I don't lose any of the items that are not common to both.
Thanks

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Yes you can :) I saw this on G4 Tech TV where Leo Laporte was helping a man with the same problem. He recommended the following sites (Tutorials).
