M$You can prevent acne scars by visiting your dermatologist and getting some very good treatment before they become a big problem. Washing your face with medicated soap may help, but it is not necessarily a solution to acne. Products on the market that doctors seem to recommend are:
1. Zenmed
2. Exposed
3. Clearpores
4. Acnezine
5. Proactiv
6. Dermajuv
From the site listed below (cleanser reviews) you can not only learn about the products but they are kind enough to provide you with links to purchase the product from the same site with the click of your mouse.
Medical treatments for the reduction or elimination of acne scars include laser resurfacing, dermabrasion, and fractional laser therapy.
Laser resurfacing:
The doctor will administer a local anesthetic, and then use a laser to remove the top layer of skin. This procedure also tightens the next layer so that the pores are smaller, helping to reduce any future outbreaks. This procedure can take from a few minutes to an hour, depending on the severity of the scarring. Heal time is three to ten days.
Dermabrasion:
This procedure uses as wire brush, or a diamond head brush, that spins to scrub the top layer of skin off the face. This procedure also leaves smooth and healthier looking skin, but the healing time is much longer, between ten days and three weeks.
Fractional Laser Therapy:
This is the newest technology in the fight against scarring. The procedure is more expensive, but takes less time to completely heal. This laser therapy goes below the first layer of skin to attempt to remove all the scarring and not just surface scarring. Damage to lower skin tissue is reduced, too!
Chemical peel:
Using chemicals, the doctor administers these to the skin. The chemicals will work through the first layer of skin leaving behind a fresh and clean new layer. This process is used for blemishes, scars, and wrinkles. It appears to be temporary, but effective.
On your own, you can purchase some cleansers that have tiny abrasive beads in it that help to scrub your face like a microderm abrasion. There are many on the market to choose from.
It is definitely better to avoid the dermatologist visit, so keep your hands clean, keep your face clean, keep your hands away from your face, and be sure to not slather lotions or creams all over your face, this may just make things worse. After all, dirt can stick to the creams and lotions and get into your pores, increasing your chance of getting more outbreaks. Girls, avoid makeup while you are suffering from an outbreak, or just wear a little mascara and lip gloss. I'm sure you're beautiful without it!
