Is there a software for automatically cataloging ebooks?
It should work very similarly to Windows Media Player or Zune library, where it goes to a folder that I earmark for ebooks and automatically scans the name and tries to get the appropriate information from Amazon by way of author, price, reviews, category, cover images etc.and displays all of them in a cool interface...
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

I don't know of one off hand that does what you describe, but a good cataloging tool in general which I've used to catalog ebooks, mp3s, videos, etc., is Advanced File Organizer.
You can have it load all files on a DVD for example into its catalog, then create separate categories and categorize each of the items according to your own system. It's very flexible, but I don't think it has the feature you describe which looks up info from Amazon or other sources to describe an item.
