Is there a proper way top attach stockings to a 6 strap garter belt

Rather like tightening lug nuts on a tire, do it in rotation. That is, bring the stocking all the way up your leg, extend you leg if you can, and start with one garter in the front, then one in the back, then one on one side. You may next go to the other side and attach before the other front and back, or start the rotation again from the front. Most important is to check for tension. If the stockings feel baggy or too tight, you may need to adjust the tension in the garters. Good luck!
