Is there a portion on the FAFSA to indicate the status of being a twin?
On the FAFSA, it asks about siblings in the family that are "currently in college". However, since I am a twin, and neither or us will be "currently in college" at the time of filing the FAFSA, how do we indicate that we are twins? I have been looking around the work sheet for the FAFSA, and I simply cannot figure it out. Is there something I am overlooking? Thanks so much.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Looking at the worksheet, what it actually asks is "how many people... will be college students between July 1, 2009 and June 30, 2010." If you both plan on starting college this year, and are filling out the FAFSA, then the number is 2 (plus anyone else in your house in college, except your parents).
It's one of those quirks of being a twin that the phrasing seems to gear towards siblings starting college offset from each other. But then, there are many siblings who are not twins who start college at the same time too, if one travels or is held back, etc.

Thanks, I must have been overlooking that the whole time.
