Is there a known problem causing the 2003 Mazda Miata to shake when certain MPH's are reached?

My brother has had an ’03 Mazda Miata for almost 2 years now, it has 51,300 miles on it. He just got new tires put onto the car. Every time he hits 60 miles per hour his car begins to shake, however, as soon as he exceeds 60 the car stop shaking. It’s only when he is on that 60 mark, and it shakes pretty badly. So he is wondering if this has to possibly do with his new tires, or if there is a known issue with the style of car that he is driving, or if maybe it’s just random, and he needs to go get it checked out! Any help is much appreciated!

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.
