Is there a known issue about having an echo in the recorded music while using Pro Tools?

While I was recording I noticed on play back an echo and so I re-recorded and it was there again. Is there something I am doing wrong? Could it be my settings are off somehow, or is there a known issue of this happening?

Does anyone have any advice for me? I really like using the Pro Tools I find it simple and user friendly, so I am hoping that there is a fix or a work around for this echoing that keeps cropping up in my music.

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I have discovered two options that may help you with your issue. Check your menu for an option called "the low latency monitoring option." If you select that option in Pro Tools, it should eliminate the problem with hearing an echo. Otherwise, try lowering the buffer size. I hope this helps.

For more information, feel free to visit the site where I got this information. The URL is listed below.

Your issue could be related to latency or incorrect signal flow perhaps.

Have you tried recording with just a microphone connected to your 002 mic-pre (no external mic-pre connected). And if so, does this issue still occur?

We can take it from there.
