Is there a company that allows me to transfer my home number so that it just goes to a voicemail service

I have a landline that I would like to disconnect. However, I want that number to simply go to a voicemail box. Is there a service that will allow me to do this?

I also do not want to use Vonage or some other type of VOIP service.

Thank you.

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I can't seem to find one. We're in the process of completely rethinking our utilities/services so I've been doing a lot of searching lately, and I've not seen anything like what you're asking for.

There is Grand Central, owned by Google, which gives you one phone number for life that will ring wherever you want it to ring. Sounds like it would accomplish the opposite of what you're wanting, though.

I agree that Grand Central sounds like it is the answer, but it has been closed to new sign-ups ever since Google bought them ...

T-mobile allowed me to transfer me landline number to my cell phone but I had to let AT&T know ahead of time so they can release the number from their service.

Try first free trial services and choose the option that offers the services you only need. Don't pay for the services you don't need. Check the resources and choose the one that suite your needs.

Hi rhpt,

You can try with RingCentral. They have free trial period and they offer different telecommunication solutions just like virtual PBX or business voice mail system.
