Is there a better way than finder to map Ethernet drives is OSX. Currently able to see but not Connect

Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

To manually mount a network drive:

---quote---
1. In the Finder, click on the Go menu, select Connect to Server.
2. Enter the address to where the resource is you wish to map. (i.e. smb://www.domain.com/foldername)
3. Enter your network password when prompted.
4. A new icon should appear on the desktop. That is your mapped network drive.

To automatically mount a network drive:

After manually mounting the drive, you can add the drive to the "Login Items" within the appropriate user in the "Accounts" section of System Preferences. After doing so, the network drive will be automatically mounted at system startup.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.
