Interestingly enough, several fans on the Lighning forum thought they looked too much like Detroit, as well as several who mentioned Toronto. The idea is that Detroit and Toronto look natural in Old school uniforms because their franchises ARE old school with a ton of history.
One fan even photoshopped what he thought would be better, and there were complaints that the fans had not been consulted.
Giving away new jerseys to EVERY season ticket holder is admirable, as is the overall efforts of the new owner, but this new jersey and logo could have been handled better, in my opinion. The final word however, will be spoken in the win-loss stats. The Jersey will become increasingle popular if the Lightning win.
