Is the Mahalo store going to be adding gift cards from places such as Target, Walmart, JC Penny's?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

1. Expand the list of gift cards. I'd really like to see more covering the "necessities" (Target, Walmart, Gas Cards, Grocery Store, etc.). The current group is good, but I'd like to see this list expand.
2. Improve the "exchange rate". Since gift cards guarantee a merchant that they will receive business (usually in excess of the gift card value), I would hope they would provide the gift cards to Mahalo at a discount (e.g., give Mahalo a $25 gift card for $20). From there, Mahalo could charge something closer to a $1 USD = M$1 rate (since they would be getting a discount on the cards themselves). Currently, the rate is about $1 USD = M$0.57 on most items. If nothing else, maybe they could offer the poor exchange rate on lower priced items, but improve it as the pricing gets higher (more incentive to stockpile your $M).
Here's hoping they add to the list.

M$I would like to see gift cards from Walmart or target as well myself, but am happy with what we have to work with as of now too!
Maybe ask Jason himself, like I said he would be the one with the best answer! I do know that this question has come up several times, so maybe he will take it in to consideration and try to add a bigger selection!
He said before he likes to take the opinion of people, and work with it, so we will see what happens!
If not it's always nice to save up for that iPad!
