Is the League of Legends game what you expected it to be?
The League of Legends game, which was inspired by the Defense of the Ancients map used on Warcraft III, was connected with a year-long wait. After initially being announced in the fall of 2008, the actual game was available only on a closed beta from April 2009 until its final release in October 2009. Many Warcraft III fans, undoubtedly, impatiently awaited the release of this new game and most likely could not wait to try their skills on this free Internet game. Now that the game has been publicly available for over 6 months, have you had a chance to try it out? If so, how do you like League of Legends? Does it meet your expectations?

Although I am not a World of Warcraft player, I have played League of Legends a few times. Having seen bits and pieces of WoW I don’t think LoL quite compares. I think League of Legends is a fun game, but it seems very…poorly done in many ways. I would imagine that a more creative and / or interesting way of battle could have been implemented, instead of a simple *click click click* with one button to attack. Having to just run around knocking down turrets and the other teams statues and so on, just isn’t as fulfilling as it could be! I think there is so much more that could have been added to this game in order to make it interesting and allowing it to remain free at the same time. Since there are additional packs available for the game, I guess I don’t quite understand the simplicity of it, but I guess some may think it’s perfect and that’s great! I however am just not one of those people! All in all I enjoy the game, but definitely was expecting more when I was downloading it!
