Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

HTC Desire is actually a 3G phone not a 4G phone. This phone manufactured by HTC is patterned to Google's Nexus One; it's somehow the improved version of NX1.

Although this phone isn't 4G yet, it's one of the best Android phones in the market. It's powered by Android OS, v2.1 (known as Eclair) and is upgradable to Android 2.2 (Froyo). It has Qualcomm Snapdragon QSD8250 1GHz processor.

Some of this phone's features are...
- 3.7 inches (480x800 px) AMOLED capacitive multi-touch touchscreen
- 576 MB RAM and 512 MB ROM
- a microSD slot which can be used to expand the memory up to 32GB
- a 5 megapixel (2592x1944 px) camera with autofocus and LED flash
- included third party applications such as: digital compass, dedicated search key, Google Search, Maps, Gmail, YouTube, Facebook, Flickr, Twitter applications, Talk, Picasa integration, MP3/AAC+/WAV/WMA9 player, MP4/H.263/H.264/WMV9 player and a Voice memo
*basic features & functions...

Battery life's not bad too. This phone uses Li-Ion 1400 mAh which lasts up to 340 hours (on 2G) or up to 360 hours (on 3G). For talk time, it can lasts up to 6 hours and 40 minutes (on 2G) or up to 6 hours and 30 minutes (on 3G).

HTC Desire, otherwise known as HTC Bravo, is an Android powered smart phone that generally works with both 2G Network, such as GSM 850/900/1800/1900, and 3G Network such as HSDPA 900/2100. It can be gleaned from above that this HTC device is not a 4G phone, the only 4G enabled device currently in the market is the HTC Evo, under the U.S carrier Verizon Wireless.

Even though this is mobile device is for 3G networks only, it surely packs a whole lot of punch with its 3.7 inch OLED capacitive touchscreen, stunning aluminum buttons, optical track pad, HTC Sense UI, rubberized chassis, MicroUSB v2.0, 5 MP camera] with Geo Tagging and last but not the least is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 1 GHz processor.

As far as your concern if HTC Desire will function on 4G network, don't be worried since the system is not yet fully implemented and still in testing stage.

The concise answer to your question is “No”. HTC Desire HD phone is capable of running on 2G and 3G network but it is not 4G ready. Since, 4G network is still in the developmental stage, there are not many handsets around which can handle this network. HTC is planning to launch a 4G handset in January, 2011.

HTC Desire HD is a smartphone, manufactured by HTC and based on Android mobile operating system. HTC Desire HD is made from aluminum and has a big 4.3 inch screen with a resolution of 480x800 piz. Its dimensions are 123x68x11.8 mm. The phone has 1GHz Qualcomm processor under its hood. HTC Desire HD weighs 164 gm. The phone has a 8MP camera with dual LED flash and Auto focus feature.
