Is the Droid phone available for [[AT&T]]?

If so, which model should I get?
Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

The Droid phone is available with an AT&T telecommunications provider. The first phone offering was released in 2008, with the Motorola Backflip, also known as the Enzo or Motus. This model had a landscape-oriented keyboard, which means the touch pad is on the back of the phone when it is closed.

However, with regards to the phone you should buy, there is the Motorola Atrix 4G launching in March 2011. The prototype model was displayed in late 2010, featuring a dual-core processor with each core running at 1 GHz, delivering up to two GHz of processing power. The Atrix 4G smart phone will be the first phone offered by AT&T, and will have complete with online computer power. It is the objective of AT&T to offer a device that combines the power of a laptop with the latest smartphone features, 4G speeds and Motorola Droid Applications.

AT&T has a version of the Droid phone known as the Motorola Milestone. It has many of the same features as the Droid and can also be used with the T-Mobile service. However, this phone does not have the wireless frequency that works with the 3G service of either AT&T or T-Mobile. Even though this phone works with AT&T, it is not sold through AT&T. Therefore, it is quite a bit more expensive to purchase the phone separately and then sign up for the wireless service. Another thing one may want to consider is that the Motorola Milestone does not have the 16 GB included when it is purchased as the Droid does. The Motorola Milestone is a very well equipped smartphone. It may have a few downfalls, but still is very much like the Droid.
