M$The two are fairly matched specs wise but the Sony is a little bit more expensive. I ended up getting the Sony but I think you can't go wrong with either choice.
I wouldn't suggest going with the cheap end of the Bravia series as another responder suggests as there's a signifficant difference in specs. In my opinion there's no point in buying the cheapest TV from the most expensive brand - if your budget is that tight then I would look at another manufacturer.
