Exercise your writing by looking at lines and ideas that other lyricists write and try to voice a similar idea in a different way. We all start as a product of someone else's work. Still, do your best to avoid plagiarism.
Pay attention to styles that you like and try to develop your own style and grow from your own work!

writing songs is a natural gift
one who is able to understand his/her surroundings and oneself only can write songs
if you write even a single verse of your own imagination it is praiseworthy for your talent
please donot compare yourself with others
it is my heartfelt request
this tendency is the main reason for one not to appreciate his or her own work
try to criticise other's work
you will think your work is better
do not criticise your own work
then you will only feel other's work good.
