Is sex can give a better bond between lovers?

Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Actually the act of intercourse releases chemicals and hormones that do create an emotional bond (pressure points and more). The same thing happens when babies pass through the birth canal. In some cases where natural birth isn't possible mothers have had a delayed bonding.

Our bodies work on many levels. Deviations from what is "natural" can produce surprising consequences, not all of them obvious.

It's one reason why casual sex isn't the best course of action for everyone. Some people are more sensitive to the bonding that can happen than others and the sudden withdrawal from one person and the establishment of a new bonding experience with another can have detrimental effects psychologically (and physically).

If the act of sex was the same for everyone, well, there wouldn't be so many questions about it. If you find yourself falling in love with someone you've only had casual encounters with, then you're likely one of those people who are very sensitive to the bonding and should be more careful with whom you choose to share that with (and how soon into the relationship or you'll confuse the bonding with actual love and compatibility).

But unless your body is somehow dysfunctional, the bonding thing happens on some level whether you feel it or not. I wouldn't write it off as romanticism but it would fall under the category of "chemistry" between people. Hard to explain, but the effects are obvious.

While this answer may be more obvious in women, men are not immune. It's just a less obvious effect on men because most men equate an erection with attraction. The confusion for us is further confounded by the media and our peers. It's usually not until much later in life (if at all) that we learn what love really is and what attraction means for us. And it's usually when we go through a period where the ol' flag pole is in mourning (half mast) and the person that loves us doesn't run away like an infomercial porn star for herbal viagra.

Our bodies work whether we pay attention to the signals or not. Bonding can happen even if I don't agree with the concept or know what is happening.

It all depends on the two people that are having sex. Yes, it may give a better bond between the lovers, and no it may not. If one DOES NOT see sex as a sacred thing in the relationship and the other DOES, then things may not work out as well.

No...it spices up relationships, yes sometimes...but it doesn't build a bond...just because you're "connected" doesn't mean you're...connected...if ya catch my drift..
