Is San Antonio a good place for food?
What kinds of cuisines does the city offer? Is it pretty diverse, choice wise?

There is quite a lot of diversity of food as San Antonio is a metropolitan area with people from many cultures. The most prominent types of restaurants are Tex Mex and Steak Restaurants (Ruth's Chris, The Palm and Grill at Leon Springs). Some of the other types of restaurants are French (Le Reve), creative Latino (Acenar) and a few Asian restaurants. There is quite a bit of diversity on the River Walk area in downtown.
I have really enjoyed the Tex Mex food there, being a native Texan from central Texas. My favorite is cabrito or kid goat that is roasted in traditional spices. The festivities in the genuine Tex Mex restaurants usually don't start until after 10 pm, so show up after then to see mariachi bands and a lively atmosphere.
