Is reading "The Omnivore's Dilemma." Have any of you guys read this before? What did you think? #eco #organic #green #sustainable

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I have! I found it to be a very interesting read. Pollan states from the beginning that his intention with that book isn't to really put forth any solutions to the "dilemma." That was the only part I didn't really like. I would have liked more about where we should go to solve the problems he lays out. It is quite interesting and his other writing is fascinating as well. The first portion of the book that focuses on corn production talked about some towns I grew up in so that certainly hit home. Also, the section on Joel Salatin was fascinating. I bought a book that he wrote later on and he is a tried and true character! I believe there's certainly a part in that book for everyone regardless of what part of his broad spectrum of food consumption you fall on.
