Is prostitution legal in Nevada?
I heard that prostitution was legal in Nevada, so is this true? Are those establishments where my children will be exposed to them?

Nevada is the only state in the United States that legalized prostitution by licensing 30 brothel operations in its counties. According to the state’s history, brothels have been operated since the middle of the 19th century. Any county with a population of under 400,000 is permitted to operate brothels if they opt to do so. Engaging in prostitution outside licensed brothels is an extreme offense in the state.
Many families are claiming that these establishments may not illicit good influence to children. They can also threaten the safety of children because of child prostitution and trafficking issues. The state of Nevada strongly condemns the trafficking of children into prostitution by giving a penalty of $500,000 to offenders under the Assembly Bill 380 signed by the Nevada Governor Jim Gibbons in June 2009.
